The Johns Hopkins Division of Infectious Diseases offers a full range of outpatient and inpatient services to treat and prevent illness, disability and death caused by infectious diseases. We offer outpatient care at general infectious disease clinics and specialty clinics and inpatient care at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview.

Our services are focused on adult patients, 18 years of age and older. Pediatric Infectious Diseases usually provide care for patients younger than 18 years.

New Patients and Consultations: A physician referral and review of medical records is typical for initial outpatient Infectious Diseases consultation to determine appropriateness and timeliness of a visit. If medical issues are more urgent, please have your physician call the clinic location number directly to speak to one of our infectious diseases physicians.

Volunteer for Research

Our Division operates a number of internationally recognized centers that further innovative research, with the goal of improving patient care. Our investigators work collaboratively with others in the Johns Hopkins community and with other investigators in the United States and internationally.

A number of clinical trials are dependent on volunteers to study diseases and develop treatments. We invite you to explore opportunities to help us with our research efforts. We could not do clinical research without your help.
