Application Process

Application Process, TOID Fellowship

Applicants should be current or past fellows in good standing in an ACGME-accredited Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program.

Application Requirements

Applicants should hold a terminal degree (MD, DO, MD/PhD) from an accredited medical school and be in good standing in the medical community.  The applicant must have completed an accredited internship and internal medicine residency.  By the time of fellowship enrollment, aapplicants should be current or past fellows in good standing in an ACGME-accredited Infectious Disease Fellowship Program.

Unfortunately, the TOID Fellowship program will not sponsor visas.  For non-U.S. citizens, all persons enrolling in a TOID rotation are required to comply with U.S. government law, policies, requirements, and visas related to immigration, legal permanent residents (green card), non-immigrant visas (J-1) or temporary non-agricultural worker visas (H-2B).

Application Procedure

Admission into the TOID Fellowship is on a rolling enrollment basis.  The number of positions is determined by the number of applicants matched to the availability of faculty overseeing the trainee.

The TOID fellowship does not utilize the services of the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) or the National Resident Matching program (NRMP).

The TOID Program Director and a select group of faculty individually evaluate all fellowship candidates for program inclusion.  This group meets on an ad hoc basis.

Persons interested in a clinical or research fellowship are encouraged to begin the application process nine months prior to the anticipated start date.
